Shimano Tiralejo Product Review

Before we get started reviewing the Tiralejo, let’s talk about the company that brought you this surf spinning fishing rod – Shimano.

Shimano was founded in 1921 in Japan, and is known and loved for its high-quality bicycle, golfing, and fishing equipment.

People love the high standard that Shimano sets, and the Tiralejo certainly meets that standard.

The Tiralejo is the perfect choice for saltwater fishing, made of durable materials that are sure to withstand the elements.

The smallest in the series of Tiralejo rods is 10-½ foot and a medium action. The quality C4S blank construction utilizes a high modulus blank and wraps four outer layers of 90-degree graphite.

The construction does wonders in increasing the hoop strength, giving you maximum pulling power without having an effect on the sensitivity.

This is a super sturdy rod that is certain to see you through your angling adventure. The Fuji stainless frame guides are some of the strongest on the market, perfect for surf fishing in any condition.

You’ll find that many of the more powerful rods are heavy and can be difficult to use, but you won’t have that issue with this lightweight rod.

The lure rating of this rod is between 1 and 3.5 ounces, which only adds to the great value of this rod.

The foregrip length is 6 inches, and the rear grip length is 18.5 inches. Many grips on the market aren’t very accomodating and can leave you with blisters and sore hands after hours of fishing.

However, this rod features comfortable grips to make your fishing experience a breeze.

The spinnings have been designed to be used with the PowerPro Line. Anglers love the PowerPro line – it has around five times the strength of a monofilament line of the same diameter. It also lacks the stretching qualities, which is sure to offer you a much better feel.

Whether you’re pulling in a prize bass or a blacktip shark, you’re sure to have a much better experience with the Shimano Tiralejo.

Summary

It’s not very often you find a surf-fishing rod that has the perfect combination of being powerful and being lightweight.

This rod has a super sturdy and durable frame and is a sure-fire way to enhance any fishing trip, no matter what weather conditions.
